Certificate Renewal

As of January 2023, PeopleCert has announced that all certificates for AXELOS courses will expire after 3 years, including the Foundation certificate which was permanent in the past.

This new policy is applicable for the following courses OKAZY offers: PRINCE2, MoP, MSP, PRINCE2 Agile and AgileSHIFT as well.

Candidates who will successfully pass an AXELOS exam in the current year will have 2 options to maintain their active status:

• Retake both the Foundation and Practitioner exams after 3 years
• Join the MyAXELOS membership, maintain your PRINCE2 digital badge by recording 20 points of continuous development per year

Exam prices have increased considerably in the recent years. The most affordable option is 2. For around 165$ CAD a year, you can maintain your certification instead of having to retake 2 exams which will cost over 1000$ for each course you have taken.

Candidates who do not renew will still be included on the Successful Candidates Register (SCR) and the Candidate Verification Service, but a note will be added to their record to indicate that their certification needs to be renewed to align with current certification requirements.

Re-Registration

All re-registration courses have been removed from our website as several conditions may apply whether your certificate was issued in the last few years or a decade ago, in a previous or current version of the course.

If you have been certified in the past and wish to re-register, please get in touch with us using our contact form. We will be able to assess the requirements for your re-certification and offer you various paths to re-activate your certificates.

You can log into your PeopleCert account to view your certifications status and your renew-by date.

– If certified before 30 June 2020: you will have until 1 July 2023 to renew your certification, regardless of the original award date.
– If certified after June 2020: you will have to renew you certification(s) within 3 years of the original award date.

After those deadlines, your certificates will be considered expired. Even the Foundation certificate which does not indicate an explicit expiry date.

APMG-International Certificates

Certificates renewals for APMG courses remain unchanged.

For Managing Benefits & Facilitation courses, both certificates Foundation and Practitioner have a permanent lifetime validity and do not need to be renewed. The BRMP and House of PMOs suite certificates are permanent as well.

For Change Management & AgilePM courses, the Foundation certificate is permanent, and the Practitioner certificate must be renewed every 5 years to remain active.
